1990s Roy Cottingham
*** Roy Cottingham exhibition frame. This was one of a few frames that Roy used to promote his frame building skills. It was new old stock when I bought it. I built it up a couple of days before I was due to move house. I rode it about half a mile, partially dismantled it in preparation for the move and it's never been on the road since. It's therefore in as new condition apart mainly from one little mark (see bottom photo) that it suffered when something fell against the downtube tube in the removals van. There are one or two other little marks but nothing of any consequence. An unscrupulous seller might describe it as NOS ;-) .
The frame is very unusual in that Roy used fluted Columbus tubing, giving it a real eye-catching look, aided and abetted by the flamboyant finish and chromed head lugs, forks, seat and chain stays. The frame measures 22.75 inches centre to top with a 23 inch top tube c-c. A rare chance to own a unique frame. £350 FRAME NOW SOLD
